The Potter's Home is located where single mothers raise children
with few resources and opportunities. The pressure of a single parent trying to raise children in today's fast paced and technology
advanced world with little education and little family support is next to impossible. The U.S. Census Bureau states,
25% of San Antonio residents over the age 24 do not have a high school diploma, and an additional 24% have only a high
school diploma or GED. The Monthly Labor Review reports that 24 of the 30 fastest growing occupations require
post secondary credentials.
We assist families with car payments, rent, groceries and personal items, like eye glasses,
school supplies, and many other necessities. We help them with spiritual needs and instill self respect and
treating others with dignity, empathy and compassion. With the attention they receive from
KIPP San Antonio, a school designed for inner city children
and Potter's Home mentoring, we helped kids stay in school and achieve a high school diploma.
We helped mothers go from homelessness to employment and support the relationships between a mother and her children.
We helped children from failure to AB Honor Roll. We are a life coach, so families can be on the road to a future with hope and love.
